We view all of our foster carers as part of the team looking after the child or young person placed with us. Foster carers have fed back that they feel fully involved in decision making about the child or the young person in their care. This is especially important when considering who they are going to look after.

Have any questions about fostering?

The Fostering Foundation carries out statutory checks on all foster carers to make sure that only suitable people can become foster carers which include DBS check, local authority checks, health and medical checks, and references.

Once approved as a foster carer we provide you with high quality training programmes to develop your skills as a foster carer. These courses include First Aid, Skills to Foster and Child Protection.
