 New Staff Member - 

Helen Slee has now joined the South West team and will be covering the Cornwall area.

Caribbean Christmas Party - great success 

To ring the changes the South West team held their annual Children's Christmas party - but this year was with a twist - party goers were welcomed to the mocktail bar by a steel band! Palm trees replaced Christmas trees and hot dogs replaced sausage rolls and guests were treated to ice cream from the specially created ice cream parlour. A great time was had by all and the team have received lots of ideas from the children and carers for the next theme - Cowboys and Indians or Bollywood seem to be favourites at the moment! Watch this space!

RECORD NUMBER OF CHILDREN PLACED WITH THE SOUTH WEST TEAM

The team in Tavistock saw a record breaking amount of childrpalisades wiith the foster carers in the South West at the end of 2011 - as a result the team have been busy recruiting more carers and currently have an exciting number of assessments underway. The majority of children placed with our carers are on a long term basis and due to careful matching the team are very pleased with the outcomes for the children and young people placed with us.
